Waskwayak Innovations is an Indigenous strategy and innovation practice. We develop Indigenous frameworks that help Nations, organizations, and institutions address complex challenges in governance, reconciliation, Treaty implementation, community development, and emerging technologies. Our work combines Indigenous methodologies, evidence-based research, and future-focused thinking to build practical solutions that strengthen communities and relationships.

Waskwayak, meaning Birch Trees in the Nêhiyaw language, reflects the teachings of adaptation, interconnectedness, and innovation that Indigenous communities have carried across generations. Like the Birch Tree, our knowledge systems are shaped by the wisdom of our ancestors, strengthened through our lived experiences in the present, and preserved through the responsibility we carry to build stronger futures for those who come next. Waskwayak works from the understanding that innovation has always been central to how Indigenous communities create, govern, and respond to the changing needs of our people.
